About Dunloe Designer Boutique

Doreen McAleer is the founder of Dunloe Designer Boutique, which is located in Cookstown, Co Tyrone.  She is originally from Croghan Co. Offaly, it was here she got a first taste of the clothing industry, working alongside a local manufacturer who produced workwear.

Following this Doreen travelled the world to gain more knowledge of the fashion industry. She then returned to County Tyrone where she now lives with her Husband Gerry and 5 children in Ireland to fulfil a dream.

'I have always had a passion for the unusual. I would seek out products through exploring what boutiques or alternatively suppliers as opposed to what the mainstream had to offer. Unique design appeals to me and I love to see fresh, home grown talent being exposed and celebrated, which was what inspired the idea of owning my own boutique. It is my desire to promote Irish Design as much as possible'

The boutique itself is a cottage based on Doreen's beautiful grounds, where it will host some of Irelands emerging and most promising designers around the country.

The name 'Dunloe Designer Boutique' came from an old picture of Doreen's parents standing beside a cottage called 'Dunloe Cottage' in Kerry when they were on their honeymoon.

Dunloe Designer Boutique offers good quality Irish Design that you can live your life in. Doreen has chosen Irish Design that is easy to wear, comfortable, but unusual. The pieces that she sells are wearable, special and affordable. She sells a range of Irish Design from evening wear, casual wear, knitwear, accessories and jewellery. All products are designed and produced within Ireland.

Dunloe Designer Boutique offers creations of work that women live their lives in. The Designers and Doreen hope you enjoy wearing them as much as they do creating them!
